I’m Daniel, I am a lecturer and research bioinformatician at Cardiff University, United Kingdom. My remit is to collaborate and teach on all aspects of bioinformatics, from linux skills up to genome assembly/annotation, chromatin structure and epigenetics, transcriptomics, metagenomics, and microbiomics.

In summary, I like to smash different omics together to see what happens and then produce python programs with too many parameters.

Basically what I do.

For non-science fun I like to learn Chinese, cook, read cryptocurrency blogs, and discuss at length inaccuracies in science fiction films.

Please enjoy this extremely poorly put together website and don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to discuss anything!
